Southern Denton County Neighbor to Neighbor

SDC Neighbor to Neighbor was created in June of 2007 after the dissolution of the Greater Lewisville United Way. SDC Neighbor to Neighbor is registered as a Texas 501(c) (3), non-profit corporation, for the purposes of strengthening our communities through neighbor to neighbor support of the southern Denton County social services agencies. One hundred percent of the funds raised through employee pledges will be used in Denton County to support agencies who deliver the services to our neighbors in Denton County. You can designate your funds to any of the following service areas:

• Services to citizens in Southern Denton County who are victims of relationship violence and sexual assault.
• Relief to our neighbors who are victims of disasters and in need of emergency assistance.
• Help to residents of Southern Denton County as they prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
• Low cost health care to uninsured or under insured children in Southern Denton County.
• Family counseling services for residents at all income levels.
• Medical and support services for citizens who are HIV positive.
• Assistance and services for children who have been abused and neglected.
• Support for the healthy development and welfare of babies, and young children.
• Services to Southern Denton County organizations utilizing the talent pool provided through older adult volunteers
• Youth programming that builds self-esteem, encourages positive decision making and teaches respect for self and others.

Fiscal Year – May 1 – April 30. Agencies will receive funding annually with disbursement beginning for year May 1, 2008 – April 30, 2009
